As the Garden Slows, Beauty Gathers

Dear friend,

Fall has a way of reminding us that gardens are made of cycles, not endings. As Mary Oliver writes:

“All things are meltable, and replaceable. Not at this moment, but soon enough, we are lambs and we are leaves, and we are stars and the shining mysterious pond water itself.”

This season invites us to soften into that truth—to gather what shines, to let go of what’s no longer needed, and to trust what will bloom again.

We would love to invite you to explore our seasonal offerings. We have beautiful evergreen wreaths and winter planters ready to go, and if you’re looking for something custom, now is the perfect time to reach out. We can also create arrangements in your own containers if you’d like to refresh what you already have.

Seasonal Greens, Crafted With Care

As we step into the colder months, we’re gathering orders for our holiday wreaths and winter arrangements. Our handcrafted evergreen wreaths are designed with fresh winter greens and natural textures. You can order directly here, or simply email us.

If you’d like your own containers refreshed for the season, we’re happy to create winter arrangements tailored beautifully to your home and outdoor spaces.

Caring for Your Garden Through Winter

Winter is a lovely time to support the quieter needs of your landscape.

January is our mulching month, when we add a protective layer to garden beds to guard soil from heavy rain and nurture healthy soil life.

It’s also a good time for winter pruning on certain shrubs and trees, as many plants respond best when pruned during dormancy.

February is focused on fruit tree pruning, especially apples and pears. Pruning now encourages the formation of fruiting spurs, setting the trees up for a productive spring.

As winter draws near, I’ve been reflecting on the year and feeling deeply grateful—for the gardens I’ve had the chance to care for, the beautiful spaces we’ve created together, and the relationships that have grown through each season. It truly means a lot to be part of your landscape and your home in this way.

Wishing you a season filled with calm, warmth, and those small, quiet joys that make winter feel gentle.

With care,
Manon
